Hello lovely ladies! If you didn't know or have a chance to read in one of my previous posts, I went to Milan for 8 days almost a month ago, so this is going to be one of my long-due posts since I’ve only just managed to take photos of the products I bought there. Of course, many joys of a European trip is the opportunity to shop, so this is going to be my make-up related haul from my little Italian adventure.
To be honest, one of the best things in Milan is shopping and I think I’ve never seen so many tempting shops in one place (not even in Paris!); and, if you've ever heard rumors of Milanese women being rather obsessive about their looks – well, the rumors are TRUE! Seriously, you can't even begin to imagine how beautiful and stylish they look on any given occasion. However, one thing I’ve learned is that they are more hair and fashion focused and less on make-up. The make-up that is worn is all neutral and kept to the minimum and I was feeling kinda weird rocking my smokey eyes and red lips during the day.
I didn’t buy that much of a make-up, mainly because I was more impressed with various fashion items, clothes, shoes and bags. Since this is a beauty blog, I won’t be showing you those non-make up related things I got. But, I will make an exception and show you this beautiful furry Moschino bag I’m obsessed with and I simply need everyone to see it! :-) To be honest, my eyes went bright stars for Moschino bucket bag, but yeah, I had to stay realistic this time, so I went for this one.
Now, a “a must buy” if one’s going to Italy is something from their affordable make-up brand KIKO. To be quite honest, I have never tried this brand before, but have always heard good things about it, so I was excited to finally get inside.
If you ever set foot in a KIKO store, you’re probably familiar with the overwhelming selection and a large variety of colored eyeliners, nail polishes, powder and cream blushes, lipsticks, concealers, as well as wide range of skin care products.
Finally, I’ve settled with a couple of products - face make-up fixer, eye base and a golden peach blush.
I had no idea this blush (#103) was so popular among beauty bloggers until I got home from my trip. When I first saw it, it immediately reminded me of a more pigmented version of NARS Orgasm blush and it was only 7.50 EUR, so it seemed like a great deal. Another thing I got is an eyeshadow base. As my favorite Urban Decay primer was at its final days, I thought I should give this a try.
Next, I’ve picked up a Face Make Up Fixer because a girl who worked there kindly recommended this product. I’ve tried it on and it felt rather nice on my face, so it was no brainier that I needed this. However, the packaging does look a bit cheap and tacky, but it does the job and it smells great (a little bit like a hairspray).
Moving on, I went to MAC (of course!) and finally managed to get my hands on this LE Mineralize Skinfinish in Scene To Be Seen from their holiday Divine Night collection which seemed to be sold out everywhere. I will be doing a review on this product for sure as it is my new obsession!!!
I also stocked up on my favorite MSFN in Medium Plus as the one I’m currently using is almost gone and I don’t want to run out of this product ever!!!
I’ve popped into Sephora a million times and bought OMG – NOTHING :-) I must say that I had a long list of products in my mind that I wanted to buy, but we all know things never go as planned and I couldn’t really settle on anything. Plus, I had to think about money and luggage space as my shopping obsession was already on the loose.
Now, not to leave an impression that I was only shopping, here are a couple of random pictures.
The trip has ended in the most precious way with my favorite bands in the world - Hardcore Superstar & Buckcherry at Alcatraz club. Actually, that was the main reason of my trip to Milan, but now that’s a whole another story…;-)
Since I was flying from Belgrade, I spent some time there and get to visit Lilly drugstore to pick up a few things.
Amazing Aura glitters in 101, 102, 107 and cosmetic glitter base. Also, I got the infamous Allin brush cleanser that I forgot to take a picture of, but I don't really like it anyways, so no big deal :-)
So, that is it, hope you like this post and you don't find it too boring or bragging haha. Let me know if there’s anything you would like me to review and I promise I will do my best to do so.
